My Story
I’m Martina Ottolino, a student at Tallahassee State College in the TCC2FSU Pathways program for Public Relations, planning to transfer to Florida State University’s School of Communication in Fall 2026. I’ve always been drawn to storytelling and to the way thoughtful communication can make people feel connected, inspired, and seen.
I’ve learned that communication isn’t just about what you say, but how you make others feel. Whether through branding, design, or social media, I’m passionate about crafting stories that bring ideas to life and connect audiences to something meaningful. My interest in public relations began long before college, through hands-on projects that blended creativity with purpose, and those experiences ultimately showed me that this is where I belong.
In high school, I co-founded Isashii Wayuu, a small business specializing in handcrafted mochila bags that celebrates Venezuelan culture and empowers artisans. I also founded LINK, an inclusion-based organization inspired by my younger sister that promotes awareness and acceptance for individuals with disabilities. Both experiences shaped how I see communication as a bridge between people, communities, and purpose.
Now, as the Marketing and Brand Manager for Petricor Boutique, I lead digital and creative marketing initiatives, from designing visual content and managing bilingual campaigns to developing social media strategies and influencer collaborations. Each experience has reinforced the importance of creativity rooted in empathy. My goal is to build a career in public relations where I can help brands share stories that not only stand out, but truly make a difference.
